This semi evergreen fern grows 1 foot tall with a 2 foot spread and fruiting fronds shooting up to 3 feet. It prefers partial shade and lots of moisture although survives without it. Goes well with huckleberries, thimbleberries and hazelnuts. Hardy to -15°F. Bay Area native.
