A coastal species forming an evergreen gray green mound 8 inches to 1 foot tall, spreading or trailing 2 to 3 feet. Clusters of bright yellow flowers late spring, summer. Tolerates salt, wind, drought and poor soils. Best in neglected areas of the garden where watering is difficult. Bay Area native.
