This winter dormant woodland plant produces new shoots in early spring growing 1 to 2 feet tall. Dainty bell shaped greenish flowers appear in spring followed by orange berries. Prefers a cool, shady coastal climate and average water. Good by streams, under redwoods, in woodland gardens. Bay Area Native
