Lavatera assurgentiflora

Island Tree Mallow

This large, evergreen shrub can grow 10 to 15 feet round. Its 4 inch light green maple shaped leaves contrast nicely with showy, 2 inch rosy lavender and white flowers occurring April to August. It grows rapidly and resists drought, wind and salt spray. Should be sheared to keep bushy. Not hardy below 18°F.
