California Vanilla Grass

This evergreen bunch grass grows 1 to 2 feet round with delicate white flowers on drooping stems. Found from tidal marshes to moist meadows in sun or light shade, the leaves have a vanilla fragrance when dried. Found in Siskiyou County, California, north to Canada and eastern United States.
