Evergreen ground cover from Michigan to Georgia grows to 6 inches tall, slowly spreads by shallow rhizomes. White urn shaped flowers in spring followed by red edible berries that persist through the winter wth the distinct wintergreen flavor, prefers a cool,moist, acidic soil and some shade.
