Eriogonum latifolium Coastal Buckwheat Growing in the Northern Coastal Scrub of California and Oregon, pinkish white pompoms on 9 inch stems rise above low, rounded, silvery white mounds. Prefers full sun and gravelly soil with low or no water. It provides an important food source for the Mormon Metalmark and Acmon Blue Butterfly.
