Evergreen shrub 6 to 10 round feet with a deep red twisted trunk and green leaves, new foliage is bronzy red. Showy pink flowers Dec, Jan followed by berries attractive to birds. Full sun or part shade, tolerates central valley heat with shadebut needs excellent drainage. Quite drought tolerant. Good under native oaks.
