Native to coastal bluffs of the central coast it grows 6 inches high with a 4 to 6 foot spread. Fast growing for a manzanita. Pinkish flowers late winter. Sun near the coast, part shade inland, it handles adobe soils and average water or drought. A good manzanita choice for difficult situations.
